Side door lock wiring.

Hi all,
New to this forum and in need of some info.
I have a Mk7 LWB high top that I am converting to a camper for race weekends. I need access through the side door to continue the conversion but having trouble getting it open. Due to the work I am doing I have no power in the van so central locking is not working. I have operated the lock release lever (normally operated by the inner handle pull cable) but the latch does not appear to be releasing to allow the door to slide.
I have disconnected the loom, for the lock, and a search for the wiring has not turned anything up. I'm hoping to connect the solenoid to a 12v source to see if that will release the lock. Anyone have a wiring diagram of the lock loom please?
