Chassis Cab LWB Frame Help

Postby Huffstutler » Sat Jan 05, 2019 4:30 am

I believe all of the Mk 1, II, III LWB Chassis Cab Transits had the cruciform type chassis frame like the one seen on the cover of this 1967 brochure. Does anyone have a shop manual that shows what the complete frame looks like (illustration, frame alignment, parts list, etc...)? Is the cruciform a true one with the traditional 4 legs or only have the two seen behind the cab? Or even photos of what the frame looks like? Any help appreciated, thanks!

Have a google for images for transit chassis, ones I've seen from mk3 on seem to have straight chassis and not cruciform.

I found what I was looking for online. Both how the X looks on an LWB but also the repair manual that has the frame dimensions. Here is just one of the undershot showing the X.
