Transit fwd dash/Speedo/ abs light

Postby footty » Wed Jan 30, 2019 9:49 pm

Good evening all,
I’m in need of some assistance. I’ve got a transit fwd, I believe it’s around 2009.
Vin no wfoxxxbdfxat69336.

It has just had a new ford supplied body control module. Coded in by the local dealers.
When you drive it, the abs and handbrake light come on, the esp light comes on, and the speedo stops working also the dash display goes to lines.

Anyone got any pointers please.?
The dealers want another £400 to have a further look.

Thank you in advance

The battery is fully charged and load tests at 95%
If you’re stationary it doesn’t seem to happen, seems to happen when moving over 10mph...

Have you changed tyres recently..??

Check to see if the ABS rings and sensors/looms are still in good nick.

I’d say that’s a speed signal fault,

Needs the codes read, could be faulty abs sensor, Mismatch tyre size, abs module fault etc, etc

Guessing can be expensive.

At the fuse box under the bonnet where the main battery leads are check that the red and blue wire is clean and tight  You could also check the other end under the drivers seat and the fuse connected to it .
On the sixth day God created a Sprinter on the seventh he gave it away and bought a TRANSIT
