P2463 soot accumulation can’t clear code. Ids???

Postby ballihoo » Sun Feb 10, 2019 10:06 am

Morning,
So I’ve had this code for a while now. I’ve just changed the pressure sensor and the vaporiser on my 2014 mk7 rwd transit 2.2 euro 5 125tipper. When I first tried clearing the code it came back straight away. Did a small 20 min drive home on back roads and clears the code 5 mins away from home. It stayed gone for the last 5 mins. Switched engine off and it stayed cleared. Came back to it 5 mins later and it was back.
Tried taking it down the motorway and couldn’t get the egt more than 370c.
Do I need to get ids and force a clean or I read about resetting the dpf values??
It is using slightly more diesel currently.

I really don’t want to have to take it to the dealer..

Pipes to sensor seemed okay and wiring looks okay as far as I can tell.

What’s next? Any help greatly appreciated!!

It most probably needs a new vapouriser, fuse for vapouriser replaced and then a static regen

Take it to someone who knows Transits and it’ll be fixed for £200. Take it to someone who doesn’t, and it’ll cost you £1000 and do the same thing in 6 weeks, because they will replace the dpf but not fix the problem

If it was me, I’d put it to a Ford Dealer unless who know someone locally that knows what they are doing
