AWD light flashing

Recently replaced my AWD tranny due to RTC, AWD light on dash flashing, dealer unable to find fault with diagnostics kit. Any ideas of what fault may be and how to solve. Not sure if system is working as don't want to get stuck. Bought from a dealer who has been less than helpful as knows nothing about 4x4!

Could be the abs/tc fault also. But codes would help

it was plugged into IDS to no avail!

If it’s flashing, it’s got a fault.

All plugs in correctly? No wiring damage? Nipped in the gearbox?, clutch switch?. Bcm configuration issue?

Or you changed the gearbox because of something else?

are you sure it's FORD IDS rather than a generic reader like snap on or similar. They may not show specific DTCs for transmission issues.

Any ideas of what fault may be and how to solve. Not sure if system is working as don't want to get stuck.

Jack all 4 wheels off ground and try it.
Does yours have a manual switch on dash?
It should start turning rear wheels and if it sees front not turning it'll activate drive to those wheels.

Bought from a dealer who has been less than helpful as knows nothing about 4x4!

Have you considered giving M J Allen a ring on 01233 622214 they developed the AWD system for Ford.
Their technical dept are usually quite helpful especially when you explain Ford can't diagnose and nothing is showing on ids.
My only thought is are all the tyes/wheels the same size or is there a new tyre fitted on one axle, it all functions on rolling radius differentials and this might affect it.
Good luck with solving this and as I run the same van would be grateful to know when you get to the bottom of it
