6 stud rwd wheels

Postby spudmab » Fri Aug 02, 2019 7:42 pm

Hi everyone, i have a mk6 2004 tipper twin wheel with 16" wheels, i wanna get a wider tyre with having a single wheel banded.

My question is can i get 15" 6 stud rwd mk6 wheels if not will a mk5 smiley front twin wheel fit.

I.E will a mk5 15" wheel fit over the drum, same hole bore, same PCD.

I wanna run a 15" wheel as there is way better tyre choice.

Well 15" twin wheel from a mk5 is the same width...

My mk5 highcube has mk6 rear hubs with mk5 wheels and I haven't had problems with wheels.

Mk5 single wheel 6 stud wheels are wider, but couldn't be used as a twin set up

Cool, i thought they should fit, just need to check the inner clearance of the drum brakes and the wheels,

mk6, & 7 have thinner studs,than mk4,& 5,as I had to drill the holes out,on mk7 wheels,to fit them on my smiley recovery truck,
