Question about bulk head and inside diameter.

Postby Zeroo » Sat Aug 17, 2019 4:05 pm

I got a 2019 transit, 148 med rf, and need to get it set up to replace our aging Chevy express 3500 box. We have to keep 10’ lengths of pvc in and wondering which bull head will be the tightest fit towards the seats. Our box truck is absolutely overcrowded so will need to really make use of available space. The pipe rack needs to be 18 1/2” inside diameter to accommodate 4 pieces of 4” pvc and about that high. Then need to figure out a light weight storage solution for pvc fittings and smaller fittings for water(3/4 & 1/2”), generator, cords, power tools, and ladders. We do new construction plumbing only, not service so our needs are different that typical plumbing setups. With the Chevy box we have I welded huge storage shelves as weight and space was not an issue, it’s a 14kgvwr. Any advice appreciated.

This is what we are coming from. It’s crowded and a mess, it gets cleaned off when we have downtime but that hasn’t been in a wile. There’s a lot we are going to get rid of but in our biz you can never have too much stuff on your truck even though you get deliveries everyday to the job. This box is like 12x8x7’ high.
