Lost of power & oil light on - 2016 Tourneo

2016 Ford Tourneo Custom
2lt - Euro 6 engine with Ad Blue-
146000 miles - full ford service history-

I Parked my custom up the night before with no problems at all the on the next morning I get into and drive 100 meters and notice my oil light on and a loss of engine power so i stop and check the oil and to be fair its only down one or two points on the dip stick so I top it up with maybe less than half a liter of oil but still the light is on and loss of power.

I get the AA out who tell me they think the oil pressure switch is faulty as the fault is showing it going to ground. BUT towed into ford in case its something else.

Ford have now had my Van 5 working days and still cant find whats wrong !!! they tell me its not the oil switch and so far don't know .....

at £100 per hour labour and £100 diagnostic check am starting to get worried as its no longer in warranty as i am 145000 miles on the clock

anyone else had a problem with this ? she is the euro 6 engine with ad blue and until now has been a brilliant car / van she is the 9 seater tourneo custom 2016

If the oil pressure switch is ok, a duff oil pump may be the next port of call....some of the earlier models had a chocolate pump.

All I ever hear these days is about Ford dealers unable to fix anything and being vague about everything. Surely going to a Ford specialist is better than the dealer... especially if it is out of warranty...

My poor old 58 plate Mk7 machine just sits in the drive most days now, driven it twice in the last month, (I don't use it for work purposes).....commute traffic to where I work is atrocious in the afternoons, so I ride my Beemer motorcycle so I can just run through the traffic...

Aye most days the speedo will be around 100mph at some point usually showing up a sprinter or a wee custom, a got her 4yrs ago with 200k on her first engine through a conrod oot the block at around 350k Dec 2017 , lobbed a 60k second hand engine in and she's at 494500 the noo
