Transit Euro 5 issues

Postby Steve192 » Thu Oct 10, 2019 4:18 pm

Hello people,

Looking for some help.

I’ve recently fitted a brand new egr valve, also removed the inlet manifold and gave it a clean, new port gaskets fitted as well.

I had error code p042f which is the egr valve stuck closed apparently. I had all the codes cleared but it still pops up with the new egr fitted. The egr was £400. Not the cheap eBay crap.

Any ideas?

Also, I have the esp light on all the time which is abs sensors I’d imagine. Is there a way to determine which one? Or all 4 that’s gone?

Yep, possible loom damage or open circuit etc...

How do I go about trying to find the break in the loom?

I removed the mechanism (black plastic bit with the plug on) from the egr and it’s spinning as it should. I have got a video, I’ll try to upload it.
