Key programming

Cheers for the add and this is my first post .Had my van stolen and now recovered and the problem is my keys will not work so obviously they must av programmed new keys .had a mate of mine out to re code my keys and on is coder says no communication and could not program my keys Any help would be much appreciated cheers
