Transit mk7 bcm

Postby Wakers4 » Fri Jun 05, 2020 9:15 am

wonder if you could possibly help me. I'm going round the twist with this.
My transit motorhome 2.4 rwd was stood for a few weeks. It wouldn't start so tried jump starting but both batteries showed 12.7 volts. No joy I've now had two mechanics look at it and diagnostic equipment tells them it has faults that cannot be, cleared. Pats and crash data to name a couple.
Sent bcm away to be tested and it was fine, so the company flashed the software. Still the same. Bought another bcm connected it up and mechanic says it won't allow security access and the same faults are still there.
Can you throw any light on this please.
Thanks

Not too sure but if you flash the BCM it may need to be reprogrammed to the system via lDS or Forscan.

Once a bcm has been reflashed unless this is done on the vehicle with the appropriate equipment the bcm will need initialising and the pats programming done

It does nothing. No dash lights and red light still flashes every 2 secs. Bought a new immobiliser ring from ford and no change
