MK7 Tachograph

Postby GreaseMonkeyuk » Fri Jul 03, 2020 11:17 pm

Is there anyone out there that can help me out

I'm struggling to find the tachograph plugs in a mk7 460

In my 350 they were just behind the radio clipped to the underside of the dash real tricky to get to with my big hands but managed it

but on the 460 i cant seam to find them, does anyone know if the plugs could be somewhere els or if there is cases where the wiering just is not there or i have to buy a harness

I dont want to drill holes in dash or fit a pod ive got a face plate that converts to 2 single din slots one for new radio with hands free and one for the tacho

thanks in advance

PS im doing the manual installation my self and just getting it finalised and calibrated by a tacho center to save my self about £300 in labour

May depend on the harness spec as there's various levels of harness, I've got 3 t350 vans and only one with tacho plugs under dash,

You may be able to get a harness from ford to retrofit the tacho or get a complete dash harness from a breaker and swap it into your van.
Dash out job but it's not overly hard once you get into it.

Thanks Airthies that's what I thought but it's strange that they would not fit the tachograph harness in a 460 as they are highly likely need one

Does not make a huge amount of sence

Now I just need to find one

Thanks
