I posted this on the Mk 8 board, hope it's OK to post here also.
My son has bought a 2015 (Mk8?) Ford Transit H3L3, which he intends to convert into a camper van.
Underneath the handbrake is a 3-pin 240V socket, so I guess there is an inverter installed somewhere. It's marked as 150W output. However, this does not appear to work - there is no power and none of the indicator lights are illuminated. Either with the engine off or running.
There is a 40A fuse for this beneath the steering wheel, but this looks intact, although we've been unable to remove this. Is a special tool required for getting fuses out?
Presuming the fuse is intact, is there anything else we should investigate? Or should we take it to Ford or an auto electrician?
Thanks.
