House battery drains over a week. Start battery no problem

Postby Daz91 » Wed Nov 04, 2020 4:27 am

House battery drains over a week.
Is it to do with a significant drain?
Test (I sit in vehicle then) then the alarm is armed the led at radio and instruments go off at various times around 10 min.. While alarm is still on the radio power led display can come on and play if volume knob is turned on. Is that an indication of power when it should have none.?

Is the drain to do with the factory alarm does it have a battery inside it. The alarm buzzer is in the driver's seatbelt pillar

Yep, what Dumper said....Mk7.

Mk7 started in April of 2006. You have the 140ps engine, same as mine..

Check the front battery, they do strange things when they aren't well. Get both of them properly load tested ....would also pay to get the codes read.

Whereabouts in Aus are you..??
