Anti Fog treatment for windows?

Postby snowjoe » Tue Dec 01, 2020 12:53 pm

Many years ago I went to the car show at Earl's Court. I came home with loads of junk and a wicked little stick of what seemed like pink wax. you polished inside of windows with it and it prevented misting/condensation. We get a LOT of trouble with this because kids are always surfing and getting into van with wet gear etc. Does anyone know of a modern tried and tested anti fog product for windows? (windscreen mainly)

I’ve never found anything that lasts more than a day or so, but fairy liquid does as good a job as Rain X fog ime. I assume you don’t have A/C?

With mine being a camper sleeping in it-it gets the windows really wet so I carry a windovac in the van that’s why I’ve never got round to trying the rainx inside if I use the AC heated screen and fan it still takes time to clear.

Thanks. Not tried RainX, i think my friend uses that on his visor (helmet) but that's a different kettle of fish.
This stuff I had years ago was brilliant, I wonder if plain old candle wax would work! Might give it a go!

Window vac - posh git! If that's as good as I suspect, I might have a look for a used one on ebay and try that!

Look in Aldi and Lidl they get them in from time to time at reasonable money.
