Postby Chris21r » Tue Dec 01, 2020 5:25 pm

Hello.

Does anyone know if any of the new age RWD engines will fit on to the Mt75 in my mk4?
Ive been offered a h9fa engine and curious if it will fit my van.

H9FA is the 2.4 Mk6 TDCi is it not..?? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?? (You're asking for trouble if it is ). They were originally fitted with the MT-82 6speed box, but the MT-75 should bolt up to it.

The Mk7 2.4 100ps came from the factory with the MT-75 as standard.

So the mk7 engine should mate up to my gearbox. Do you know an engine code?

Can the management be done on a stand alone basis do you know?

All the 2.4's will fit, the basic block is the same from 2000 to late 2011 when they were discontinued. Heck, even the 2.2L RWD Euro-5 from late 2011 onwards will be similar.

The "management" may be a different issue though and probably more trouble than it's worth, the PCM, BCM, engine loom, dash loom and all the associated fuel system and a lot of the electrics will be needed as they are essentially "coded" to the engine they're currently on....although it can be done but a lot of faffing about is needed.
