Engine running problems

Postby porterste » Sun Feb 14, 2021 2:37 pm

Hi help needed please.

I have a 2013 Transit 3500 rwd with a 100 2.2 engine.
I was driving down the motorway when there was a bang like a tyre blowing out and the EML and traction control light came on and engine went into limp mode.

I borrowed a snap on scanner and got the following fault codes.

P0673 cyl 3 glow plug circuit
P037D glow plug circuit sense circuit
P00BC Air flow too low
P0299 under boost.
P0148 Fuel delivery.

Any help on where to start to fix this would be much appreciated

My first thought is intercooler turbo hose has split or come off somewhere

Delete DTCs and read MAF at idle. Check intake line mounting. Agree, looks like a hose

Thanks for replies.

Finally got around to sorting it at weekend and hose from turbo had split!

Checked intercooler and that was pretty well blocked as well.

Decided to renew the other hose from intercooler as well while it was disconnected.

Got it back together cleared fault codes and went wheel spinning up the road!

Thanks again boys
