MK6 loss of power after fuel pump change

Had my fuel pump replaced with a used one last summer & ever since I've noticed a drop in power. Everything runs perfect but It's like I've lost 20bhp & have to constantly knock down gears to get up the smallest of hills. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this or anything worth checking?
