Can you not do it yourself..?? Or don't you have the facilities/tools etc..

Greetings I change the oil on my neighbours Astra last night with one of those pumps where you suck it out the dipstick, the sump plug was seized solid and been smashed to the seized of a tic tack The car holds about 4.5 -5ish litres managed to suck out 4.2 out or the dip stick hole took 15 minutes, well impressed. The pumps are from Lidl I think, but I borrowed one from work. Could always try something like that. Image

SORRY,
I could not see all Your answers. I´m not into computers and all this things. But now I found it. In the meantime I found a plae where they have a different lift. One can just drive on two rails and the rails lift the car with the wheels standing on them. Good when one does not need to change a tyre or work on the brakes. So coming Monday I will find out what an be done with my oil changes....

But anyhow, it is a good feeling to find help when help is needed. Thank You !!

Have a nice weekend

Herllo again,
yesterday we changed the oil plus filter and gearbox oil plus Dieselfilter . My friend put the tranny on two forks of the lift and lifted it for 40 cm. The oil didn´t look as if it had been changed 4000 km ago. My mechanic said it was time to change it. With the new dieselfilter the Tranny goes uphill on the motorway a bit better; more torque ? I have a special part on the M3 between Cologne and Frankfurt where there is a lot of uphill and downhill . All in all I feel better with the service done. The pre-owner said there had been an oilchange. But it is better to be safe.
Has anybody evere heard of racechip in a 2,2 115 hp Transit ?

Okay, back to work again,
greetings
Detlef
