Stupid owner question!

Apologies in advance to all you more adept Transitfolk but Langley - we have a problem.

I have a 2006/7 Transit 350 tipper chassis cab which had an awful Elf & Safety tipper controller very badly mounted in the central dash box - the type you have to press buttons ten times for each lift and lower. It packed up so I merrily dismantled it and cut off the large multiplug - I now have the tipper working great but the radio is stuck on one channel and will not do anything else, constant volume, no CD zilch. The only controls are on the radio itself - not linked up to the steering column.

Any ideas to cure would be welcome.

It may be worth removing the head unit and having a look at the wiring behind, in case it's been messed with, but it could be that the unit is fubar and needs replacing

They can be purchased fairly cheaply on ebay due to people upgrading them
