Hello all. I'm new here and I do hope that this is in the correct place and if not someone could take me gently by the ear and lead me to the correct place.
My Connect is making noises that means that it's not a happy connect.
Noise number one.
From the front nearside wheel a steady squealing - not very high pitched - a sort of light resonant metal against metal sound. I thought that it might be brake related so I've had the wheel off, taken the pads out, brushed all around, re-coppered the pads and put it all back to-gether again. Still squealing. Rolling along in neutral with the engine stopped makes no difference. Brakes applied or released makes no difference. Not a low pitched grumbling bearing noise.
Noise number two.
Lots of heavy duty clunking/clonking noises hitting bumps and holes on the road from the front offside. Ball joints, drop links? Miscellaneous suspension problems.
I'm not familiar with the van. Since 1981 I've only ever owned Saabs.
Thankyou in advance.
Phil.
