Old Shed Won't Start

Postby hairyg » Mon May 03, 2021 12:43 pm

Been looking through previous posts, can't work out exactly what to do ... Please help !!!
Van been sitting around 18 months.
New battery fitted - still wouldn't turn over - immobiliser light went mad .
New battery in alarm fob - now immobiliser light goes off , all electrics work , but still doesn't turn .
Not even a 'click' .
What next ? Fuses seem good and all wires seem to be connected .
Any help greatly appreciated , cheers in advance ...

I blame the violence inherent in the system. And some dodgy wiring.

HairyG, sounds there's an alarm in there somewhere, possibly under the dash pocket. It'll have its own fuses so you need to find those first, and check all the wiring where it's spliced into the loom.

Poor Shed :-(

I see the problem now. It's got just-left-the-scooter-rally-but-can't-be-arZed-to-ride-all-the-way-home condenser syndrome.

Immobiliser light blinks rapidly for a minute, then pauses. Then count the blinks and it will give a diagnostic code.

[rapid flashing] pause [blink] pause [blink] [blink] (it will then repeat the code) would be code 12
