Postby Mandlaford » Thu Jun 10, 2021 7:31 am

hi,
tourneo 2014, mobiliser wont work if the key is not ignition. It seems like the is no battery function if the key is not turn on.
also at times the display cluster does not light up but the car will be iddling and being driven. is this a battery problem or relay problem?

Here is some additional info on the problem.

the mobiliser would work wen the key is on the ignition and ignition turned on. once the ignition is turned off everything goes of, as i know the interior lights should take time after the car is switched of.
But if it is the battery why the car never struggles with starting (turning the starter). or does the car have two batteries?

Please help

It could have two batteries, but they don't all have two, so you'll need to look under the drivers seat.

If you do have two, then it's possible that the aux battery is dead, and the starter battery is OK :)
