Hi first time out in my transit mwb mood and overtaking something had foot down and engine malfunction lame on. Stopped and turned off engine, started up again and engine light on. Any ideas please

Welocome to the madhouse.
You'll need to get the fault codes read as guessing can be costly and time consuming.
Which engine..?? TDDi or TDCi..?? FWD or RWD..??
