Brand new clutch slipping

Postby Dirtydiesil21 » Sun Jul 04, 2021 9:14 pm

Hey guys, got a weird one for you.

Got a mk6 6 speed transit that's had a new clutch kit fitted. The apprentice fitted the clutch and slave but the pipe to the slave popped off whilst trying to bleed the clutch and leaked fluid all over the clutch and as a result the clutch was slipping really bad.

We took the gearbox off cleaned the clutch and the flywheel but it's still slipping. The transit changes gear fine but the only way to drive it is by resting your foot on the throttle. Any more and it would be all noise no go.

Would it be as simple as replacing the clutch again or is there something more to the issue

Tia.

M6 6 speed ...must be the TDCi 135 RWD engine..??

Clutch friction plate is possibly done due to fluid contamination...or...it's got the wrong clutch assy & flywheel in it..??

The 6 speed clutch & flywheel is different to the 5 speed one.
