Tacho removed, no mileage reading.

Postby Steve192 » Wed Aug 11, 2021 10:33 pm

Hi people,

I’m after a bit of help. I’ve bought a mk7 2.4rwd lwb van for my camper van build. It used to have a tachometer fitted but this was removed before I purchased it. I know that when the tacho is fitted its programmed on the bcm to not show the mileage and just KM on the tacho. I have a couple of questions about this;

1) is anyone local to Calne SN11 with ids able to code this back to show the mileage on the cluster? I’m willing to travel to you and pay.

2) Will it remember the mileage the van is currently running or need to be programmed in?

Any help would be great.

Cheers

Steve

Sorted now. Was looking for IC (instrument cluster) in forscan and couldn’t find it but it was under the tachometer section (obviously)
