total loss of power 2002 reg transit 350

Hi i'm looking for help my transit clutch went on me, the clutch was vibrating and pressing up when i was pressing down on it. Been told that would be the thrust bearing, but when i put my hazards on for 20 seconds i lost all power to the electrics no ignition lights at all. I know this will be 2 seperate issues 1 being new clutch but has anyone any ideas how i can sort this electric issue???? many thanks.

Blown main fuse in the battery earth strap maybe?? It's bolted to the floor by the drivers seat.
