I don't know what the OP knows, so it might be worth explaining a bit, as I was totally confused by my keys when I bought my van and joined this forum - it took a while for it all to sink in!
There are two types of "key code" involved that have already been referred to on this thread.
1. There is the Tibbe key code that allows a locksmith to cut a new key. This will allow a new key to open the doors, bonnet lock, and turn in the ignition, but WON'T start the van.
2. There is an immobiliser chip in each key that needs to be programmed (or "coded") to the van to allow the van to start. You need someone with IDS or a paid up licenced version of Forscan to do this (if I remember correctly, to stop any old chancer from programing vans).
