 The geezer who sold me my 'C'reg Mk2 said it had a York in it, but it says DI on the air filter so wot is it then? I don't know me injectors from me elbow, but I know several of you lot do so what is it? whats the reputation of the type etc, all advice/info appreciated. Thanks. It starts immediately & without any glowplug lights coming on so that says DI to me. Cheers :D

And if you have 3 sliders on the heater control, it's a factory diesel. If your injector pump says 'Lucas CAV', it's an earlier one, if it says 'Bosch' it's later and a replacelment. If you are not too sure what or where the injector pump is, follow the pipes away from the head to the left, they come out of the pump. Your engine looks like an early Di, it could even be the original as we have had one for 8 years that's in it's 3rd van, and could have as many as 400,000 miles on it, I will never know as it was 2nd had when we got it!!

Ok Fred, thanks for that, I'll have a look to see the make. As for mileage ~ it says 12,000 on the clock which I assume means 112,000 or 212,000 or who knows but it may even be 12,000 as it was a Co-op funeral wagon  then my mate gave it an easy life and pumped it full of waxoil regularly :D trying to win a bet on whose old ford would last the longest. The Tranny won! loser was a pre-sierra P100
