hi guys, i have a converted 2016 16 seater minibus, model - transit 460 trend econetictech -van with side windows . Now down as a two seater on the log book. Only bought it a few months ago . It came fitted with a tachograph but no card , my question is , Can i remove the tacho legaly myself or do i have to inform any transport authorities that i have done so

I got Ford to remove mine and the speed limiter but they would only do it once the the bus was logbooked as a camper but that was mainly for the limiter before you remove it it needs the mileage transferred to the van dash.When I had mine done I had a new battery fitted in the Tachograph because I was selling it on because if you let the internal backup battery go flat on some types it will ruin it. Not sure if Forscan can transfer the mileage or you need someone with IDS someone more Tec savvy will popup and confirm what is needed.
