Just a follow up post really, I still have the "single horn honk" when locking the doors but I have managed to get the sliding door to fit snuggly in line with the body work.
The main culprit was the aluminium latch fixed to the body where the rear lock shuts onto it, I had to loosen the Torx 40 bolts and move it back by approx a 1cm, well as far as it would go back to be honest, I marked the position prior to doing this just in case I needed to move it back to where it was.
I also got the front top part of the sliding door to fit better by loosening the top nut, lifting the door from the bottom which moved the door top towards the van, the top bracket appears to have a short slot arrangement and lifting the door pushed/slid the door in at the top.
So, I thought I'd fixed the problem but to my dismay the horn honked on locking and it cuts through you like fingernails down a blackboard. I've bought some electrical contact cleaner and some engineers blue to see how well the contacts make er! contact lol! I test out all the doors and see if I can get this sorted through a thorough diagnostic process and hopefully this will help others from going insane.
