transit t350 2.2 tdci CYRB crank sensor problem P0341_62

Postby taylormartin9 » Mon Nov 07, 2022 12:15 pm

hi all

im new to the forum and could really do with some assistance. i have replaced the timing chain on a transit 2.2 tdci because it was coming up with a cam postion sensor fault so we replaced the sensor and the problem was still around. i looked about online and alot of people said check timing so i did and it was out slightly due to a streched chain i believe. so replaced the timing chain and timed everything up accordingly. after refitting everything i started it up and the problem still remained. i have checked the wires going to the sensor and they seem good. i have heard that the starter motor cold cause this code but it has no problem starting. also heard the battery being poor can cause it but i ran some jump leads of my caddy whilst it was running and it turned over as it would on full charge so im really confused as to where to go. any ideas or help would be very much a appreciated.

Vehicle info
Engine code : CYRB
Fault codes : P0341_62 camshaft position sensor . incompatible signals or signals comparrison wrong
P067100 - P067200 - P067300 - P067400 Cylinders 1-4 glow plug circuit
Vehicle : Transit 2014 25T350 2.2 tdci

Your thread heading says "crank sensor problem".....but your post only mentions "cam position sensor"..?? Which is it..??

If the cam/crank sync is out, it will never start. Do you get cam/crank sync "Yes or No" when cranking..?? Did you erase the current fault codes and see which ones come back..??

Have you pulled the "crank" sensor out to check for metal contamination, DMF falling to pieces etc..? Wiring to it ok..??

Do you get cam/crank sync when cranking the engine..??
