Clutch Fault transit MK8

Postby wulf » Wed Nov 30, 2022 6:01 pm

Transit MK8 2.2 2015. Driving along 60- 70 mph and the engine starting revving high, like i had knocked it out of gear. Pushed the clutch down that was hard, and it stayed to the floor, lifted it up with my foot and seemed fine, clutch back to normal. I pulled over then carried on for a few minutes, and the same happened again. Is this a master/slave issue?.

Thanks in advance.

My mk6 did it bleed the system and was ok for a bit but in the end I fitted a master and slave cylinder and a clutch at the same time as it had done 130000 miles.

I've had it before with the pedal sticking to the floor on my Mk6/7, a common fault with the master cylinder.
This was a strange one, loosing drive while driving along on a straight road?
