Hi, I've not found this precise problem on the forum with a resolution, and so here it goes.
Spent 7 hours last night stuck at the road side waiting for AA. When they arrived they were unable to sort, and unable to tow as the steering lock is on, and no flatbeds were available. So will be heading back out to the van today to have look myself / organise recovery vehicle that can load.
The issue is that the ignition barrel will not turn from position 0 to 1,2,3. This also seems to prevent the removal of the barrel for a temporary repair/replacement.
AA think it will be a case of forcing /smashing through the lock with all the risks that entails.
Just wondering if there any other hints and tips? (Just in case there are variants, this is the tibbe key system. I think something got into the barrel with the key and is fouling the plates/pins etc)
Many thanks, Raph
