SYNC 1 to SYNC 3 complete upgrade (Transit 2021)

Hello guys,

I want to ask you if someone have had the expirience to upgrade a SYNC 1 (or zero) to a SYNC 3 with rear camera and Android Auto (everything original).

Actually we have the classic black and white radio:

Could this be possibile to do?

We also have the photo of the control unit of the car.

Hello, nope and a expert about remapping etc told me that it is not possible to install sync.

Let us know if you find something online that explains how to do that.

Upgrading to Sync 3 is very difficult, upgrading to sync 2.5 which has CarPlay, and can run a camera is not, and you can use the bits from a Fiesta!

I upgraded my van to sync 2.5 using Fiesta parts and have advised a number of other people how to do it

To go to sync 3 would require a new wiring loom, APIM, AHU, Display and lots of programming

Yes, but as you can see with the photo of my van I don't have any type of sync installed, so I don't think will be possible to upgrade at least to a sync 2

Hello! I'm in the same situation...I have 4" base and I'm looking to update to 8" touchscreen with carplay. I found a solution to update to sync 3 but is a bit expensive.

I see one post above the companion Ake have another solution witch sync 2.5 with fiesta parts. I don't know if it will be cheaper. Would you mind sharing your solution Ake? It will be very helpul for me.
