hi lads , my 2013 hitop transit has been sitting in my garage for eight months now and has not been moved at all, the medical condition which stopped me driving has now passed and ive booked an mot for next week but would like to know if there is any precautions to take before i charge the battery and start it, many thanks

Make sure the battery is charged and it should fire up and run happily. Go the long way to the MOT to allow any grot on the brake discs to be scrubbed off and the engine warmed through properly.

Other than that all should be good!

What MinorMatt said....Also, with it being a Euro-5 machine....a forced regen may help before getting to the MOT, if it's been sat for 8 months, there may be a lot of crud in the DPF.
