Air bag Sensors

Postby Grampy2 » Thu Jul 20, 2023 6:38 pm

I have a UK 70 plate Ford Transit 350 which has been converted into a campervan. The double front passenger seat has been removed and replaced with a swivelling single seat. The air bag sensor for the original seat was disconnected and the connector is on the end of the cable under the new seat. It wont pass the MOT later this year as the air bag warning light is on all the time. How can I turn it off and will the other airbags still work? Can I just get an auto electrics man to plug in resistors or will it need to be reprogrammed in some way?

Type "Airbag Bypass" or "Airbag Simulator" in to ebay and take your pick :)
