Postby Pgs signs » Thu Oct 19, 2023 8:32 am

Anyone know much about a transit mk7 euro 4 diesel someone has put a inline pump on to suck the diesel from tank to the filter van has been running successfully but I dont want to have this pump on as it shouldn't need it does anyone possibly know why its there as it can't be the fuel pump as vans running sound so the pump is pressuring to run the injectors could the inlet metering valve be f*** on the pump wich is why its not sucking it through

Probably been fitted due to air ingress....if they have an air leak on the low pressure side of the system, the fuel will siphon back to tank and be difficult to start if left for a few hours or overnight.

Check all the low pressure lines and their O-rings. Filter head can also crack and let air in along with the filter seal itself.
