How to use forscan

Postby loot » Wed Jan 03, 2024 12:56 pm

Any experts on here that know their way around forscan?
Particularly euro 6 2.0 adblu 2020 70reg transit cab mk8

Had a new clutch and done 1000 miles, it cut out while driving round a yard and wouldn't start.

I want to see if there is synchronisation between the cam and crank.

I've read a load of fault codes, cleared them and rechecked but only 3 come back that are low battery related.

Battery on charge for now. It is turning over and I can see the belt moving through the filler cap.

Need live data for fuel and sync ideally. Cheers

I got it working on my laptop, my elm 327 is a few years old and forscan said it wasn't quite upto the job but I was able to read all modules and all codes. Anyway I got the van running after a battery recharge and lots of cranking . Seems like the nearly empty fuel gauge was misrepresenting £20 of fuel added. It starts spot on now.

Forscan added a not compatible warning for elm327's as there were so many cheap clones that didn't work, we always recommend Steve @ Tunnelrat, but if yours is reading all modules no worries just crack on.
and I just remembered I sent you a PM last month but I never got a reply
