The low engine oil message came on 2 weeks ago and I filled it up to the correct level. Just did a quick run to the station and it told me again the oil was low.
I've got the van jacked up and identified where I think the leak is but I don't know the engine well enough to identify what the part is called so I can replace it.
I think the issue is with the large black rubber pipe just above the driver-side driveshaft shown in the pictures. The leak starts here (there is no oil above this or anywhere else in the engine bay) where the pipe joins that 90-degree fitting, runs down the side of the pipe, and drips on the floor. There has been one drop from around the sump but this could just be from residue rather than an actual issue with that as well as it hasn't happened again in approx 2hrs.
I'm hoping I can do this change myself if I can identify the part. Could it just be a faulty O-ring? I'm assuming the first step will be to empty the rest of the oil from the engine before I start anything. Any tips would also be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
