exaust line

Hi everybody. I have a 1989 2.0 l mk3 petrol transit (westfalia nugget). It has a weber mono injector system and two (2!) catalyser pot in the first section of the exaust. I want to make it breathe a little bit better removing the catalysers. Is there anybody who knows if I can use the original straight part of the pipe from previous models?

I don't think it will be a straight swap, I think you'll have to fabricate/weld to join them, but you could be lucky, you'll have to compare what you've got with the diagrams, if you click on "F04 Engine Assemblies Mounted On Body.Exhaust System And Heat Shields" at the top of the page it will take you back to the menu to see the other ohc versions.
