Electronic Gremlin

I have a 2019 custom which has developed an electronic problem during the past few days. When I push down the rocker switch on the right of the steering wheel to access the settings menus nothing happens. I can still scroll through speedo, avg fuel, instant fuel, distance to empty etc. If I scroll to avg fuel and press the button down I can reset it so I know it isn’t the switch that’s broken. I disconnected the battery this evening to see if this would somehow reset the system but no luck. I noticed there was 2 batteries under the seat and one had been replaced. The old battery (the front one) hadn’t even had its negative lead tightened properly.
Anyone encountered this problem before? Could it be battery related?
