towbar fitment

hi can anybody tell me if a towbar from a 1990 mk3lwb will fit on a 92 new gen lwb??????

Yes mate same 6 bolts.

i took my toe bar from my 1989 swb put it on my 1997 and the exhaust bangs against it now and again its so close bolt holes are all same but theres a lot of different bars hope this helps

Mine bangs on the exhaust and mine is for a mk5!

had a pick up exhaust on me 89 that cured it

if you dont have access or skill to use oxy acetelyene, go to a friendly garage / tyre & exhuast center, get em to warm up your exhaust with gas axe and tweak it away from tow bar. instantly stops banging, that or turn up the radio

heat it up where it bangs on chassis then, i dont care what sort of bends my pipes have as long as they dont hit the underside of the vehicle

what about the spare wheel it hangs down under the bumper???? so that would have to come off i think????

Nah the towbar fitment is eihter side of the spare wheel, the only towbars that are different are the chassis cab ones.
