Engine Fault warning light

I have a 2018 Eco boost Transit, Engine went into limp mode, and displayed Engine fault service soon warning.
Truck running very rough, needed to pull over and shut off and restart several times to get it home.
Is anyone familiar with this issue and if so can you shed some light on how to address it.
