Booked in with a dealer for next week but is there any way to get this done without waiting until next week?

It seems the ABS module for this year (and after?) also contains elements of the immobiliser so the ecu needs to know about that as well as the ABS.
The dealer finished off the bleeding and managed to tell the ecu about the abs part. Then they tried the immobiliser part and it started once and then wouldn't start.
Hopefull they can get it sorted out tomorrow.
Can anyone explain to me why this isn't totally straightforward to do at a main dealers?

What Aithies said....Also...some of the kids working on people's Transits weren't even born or still in nappies when these models were first released. The oldest Mk6 is now 24 years old.
I have the same issues when trying to get parts and find info for my old classic '84 Honda VF1000R bike...it's now 40 years old....the kids giving me the "incorrect" info weren't even thought of when it was ruling the roads.
