Noisy ball joints on mk5

Postby npjrogers » Tue Oct 22, 2024 8:10 pm

We have a ‘96 mk5, the diagnosis appears to be noisy ball joints.. not surprising after a very rough drive through the highlands of Scotland..the potholes were serious.. there is 112k miles on her, if the ball joints are to be replaced should I also get the track rod ends replaced or is this overkill?
Any thoughts and advice is most welcome.. thanks in advance,,

no need to replace track rods, or track rod ends unless they show signs of wear
