mk 1 steering box is it oil or grease

can any tell me if the steering box on a mk 1 takes oil or grease as one lad said oil then someboby said grease

beeing as i am always messing about trying to get my steering write its greese ,unless you have a heavy duty berman box! these you can tell by they are normal dark in colur and flat on the side! if your is silvery with fins sortof then it will be heavy duty grease! if you cant tell then i will take a picky for you ! .mark

it is hand painted black by last owner and there no grease niple how do you get the grease in it got a rubber gromet in it

mate remove the rubber gromet ,then you need a grease gun ! you might be able to get in there with the nozle if you have a flexy type grease niple thing ,what i done was cut the end off so i can put it in the hole !
