Yellow warning light

Postby FDN850HU » Sat Jan 11, 2025 8:52 am

Dear Community, time by time this light shows up on my dashboard. Could you please tell me what is this about? Tia.

96 transit bus 2.5di, new coolant pipes, thermostat, coolant level is good, bled well, new fuel filter as well. This lamp appears randomly, and is with us for a long time, before and after maintaining the car. Thanks, appreciated.

It could be the washer fluid low light or water in fuel light

That’s the water in fuel light.
If you’ve already replaced the filter, and are sure there is no water in the fuel,it could be a bad sensor,or more likely the wiring to it gets broken and twisted just underneath the filter/sensor.

Thanks, much appreciated. In theory, can one get rid of this sensor underneath the filter, or is it some must have thing on these engines?

In the past I’ve just unplugged them if it’s just the sensor if it’s a wire fault rather then try and trace it take the bulb out also next time you fit a new filter don’t fit the sensor on the bottom of the filter if it’s a wire hasn’t got one then it is a wiring fault
