I don’t know how to post so please if anyone can help.

It is randomly cutting out , driving along then just dies slowly and to a stand. It just happens intimately so I have no idea what it could be , I have been told it can’t be the fuel pump as apparently on this model they last forever how true this is I have no idea, as this is a reconditioned fuel pump put on only two years ago.

I have changed the filter, any ideas would be gratefully appreciated as need the van for work asap.

I wonder if you might have crap in the tank blocking the pickup / blocked breather run it with cap loose / off see if any difference obviously be aware of spillage if close to full

Might be worth a flush out

Does it start up again straight away? or does it take a lot of cranking the starter to get going? do you know whether the reconditioned pump was a Bosch or Lucas? Where abouts are you maybe there is someone near to you who can help?

Was thinking this a possibility too she is running again now just don’t get it but will have this looked at as fur mot any time soon.
