CD Changer Audio Unit

Postby Pop Pop » Thu Apr 17, 2025 4:37 am

My 1/2014 Transit has a Ford CD 6000 head unit which takes a single CD. I saw one advertised by a wrecker which had a 6 CD stacker. The one they sent me is the same as mine - a CD 6000.
Question: Where are the CDs stacked? In a separate unit called a "CD Changer Audio Unit"? Or am I supposed to be able to keep stuffing discs into the single slot? I tried that and it didn't like it.
Can someone please explain.

It's many years since I had a CD stacker, but mine was a separate unit kept under the seat.

Small audio players (such as ipod) have made them obsolete, although I just use my phone these days.
